Welcome to one of the most important aspects of your walk with God – discipleship and spiritual development. Here at New Life, we believe that Discipleship happens best in the context of “community".  Life Groups and Life Classes are the way New Life comes together to help make each one of us better.  Better at Life. Better at Home. Better at Work. Better at Following Christ.  This journey is our journey.  Let’s walk it together.

The Armor of God: Dressed for the Battle

Teacher: Derek and Tapika Howard

Description: Whether we are aware of it or not, we are daily engaged in a battle that effects every part of our lives.  We have an enemy who has committed himself to robbing us of our faith, destroying our hope in Christ, and bringing as much unrest as he can to our homes, our families, our relationships, and even our destinies.  However, the good news is that we have a Champion who has given us a proven battle plan that has defeated our enemy countless numbers of times before, and when applied correctly to any area of our life, it will defeat him countless many more.  This Champion is Jesus Christ, and His battle plan is called the Armor of God.  In this class, we will explore how to wear the armor, and how to use the weapons it provides.  Victory is just one class away!

The Gospel of John: A Verse-by-Verse Exposition

Teacher: Lynette Lewis & Joyce Lewis

Description: This study will be informative and is intended for the general reader interested in serious Bible study. The translation used is unique to the author. Passages are set in their historical and cultural context, compared with the other three Gospel accounts, and opening the meaning of the verses. The study will be scholarly, concise, and practical. You will be consistently informed in this study of John’s Gospel account.

Drawing on thirty years of scriptural research, the study will only lightly touch on textual, linguistic, and other critical questions. John wrote his Gospel so "that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that, believing, you may have life in his name."

This is written for ordinary Christians who want to know their Bible better. It draws out the rich depths of John's marvelous Gospel to do so.
