Welcome to Life Groups and Life Classes where "We Grow In Community."

Welcome to one of the most critical aspects of your walk with God – discipleship and spiritual development.  Here at New Life, Discipleship happens best in the context of “community.”  According to Acts 2:42-47, the early church was deeply engaged in developing their spiritual experience with Christ within the confines of community with other believers.  Life Groups and Life Classes are designed to immerse you in a healthy community of loving Christ-followers committed to seeing every family member grow and blossom.  This kind of community allows us to learn with each other and ‘from’ each other.

This principle is valid in all areas of life. We become better when we are together. Life Groups and Classes are how New Life comes together to help make us better at life, home, work, and following Christ. This journey is our journey. Let’s walk it together.

Classes Begin April 9, 2024 and Last Day to Register is April 5, 2024. Classes and Groups will close on April 6th.

Divine Detours - Tuesdays, 7:00 pm (EST), Online Only

Facilitator: Dr. Linda Bing

Description: When God wants to take us someplace, the path is not typically in a straight line. There are twists and turns and the unexpected. There is usually a "detour"; an unplanned shift in the route we were planning to take. Yet, we often try to work our own way through the circumstances we believe are best for us. Using examples from the life of Joseph, we will discuss how God took him through detours and how those detours relate to you and me. We will explore the purpose of detours and how God uses them for our good regardless of how they make us feel or how we feel about them. They are necessary steps to get us to the appointed end He wants.

Target audience: Men & Women (All ages)

You will examine who believers are in Christ. You will also be receiving instruction from the Apostle Paul's letter to them on how to walk in Christ. One of Paul's emphasis throughout the letter is on the mind. Paul makes the tie that the better the Colossians know what they believe, the harder it will be for someone to persuade them otherwise. Bearing Fruit - What Happens when God's People Grow - Tuesdays, 6:30 pm (EST), Online

Facilitator: Elizabeth Clark

Description:

Why are so many Christians stagnant in their faith? Why do we often live as though the gospel stops at the moment of conversion?

The good news of Jesus doesn’t stop the moment we get saved. Salvation is only the beginning of God’s work in our lives. The gospel of Jesus doesn’t only justify us; it sanctifies us. When we receive the Holy Spirit at salvation, an incredible work begins to happen in us: we begin to bear fruit. When we are firmly planted in the gospel and committed to growing in Christ, He produces in us the fruits of the Spirit, the marks of a true Christian.
